RESOLUTION TO REJECT BIDS FOR 1991-92 BUDGET
UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT, PHASE II
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids
for the construction of the 1991-92 Budget Utility Improvements
Project, Phase II;
WHEREAS, the engineer's estimate for the work was $70, 000;
WHEREAS, the City received one bid and the amount of the
bid was $96,521; and,
WHEREAS, the Council is concerned that the single bid does
not reflect the true cost for the project, exceeds the engineer's
estimate by approximately 40%, and exceeds the project budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The bid of Cullum Pipe Company, Inc. with an estimated total
of $96, 521 for the 1991-92 Budget Utility Improvements Project
Phase II is hereby rejected.
