A RESOLUTION GRANTING APPROVAL FOR THE TEMPORARY SALE
OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AT 5700 SOUTHWEST PARKWAY, FOR
THE HOTTER IN HELL HUNDRED BICYCLE RACE ON AUGUST 29,
1992
WHEREAS, the Hotter IN Hell Bicycle Race is scheduled for
Saturday, August 29, 1992 and it is expected that approximately 11, 000
riders will participate in this event; and,
WHEREAS, these bicycle riders come from many states and several
foreign countries, and the event brings nationwide publicity to the
City of Wichita Falls; and,
WHEREAS, the sale of beer near the Memorial Stadium, where the
race begins and ends is an important feature to the participants, and
the City Council has been requested to grant approval for the temporary
sale of beer at this location.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Approval is hereby given for the temporary sale of alcoholic
beverages at 5700 Southwest Parkway (Lot 10, Block 8, Briargate
Estates, Section 5) , near the north entrance to Memorial Stadium, on
Saturday, August 29, 1992 . 7)
