RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 FOR
LAKE DIVERSION SPILLWAY ADDITION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and Wichita County Water
Improvement District No. 2 as co-owners of Lake Diversion have a
contract with Central Plains Contracting Company, Inc. for the
construction of certain modifications to the dam and spillway at
Lake Diversion;
WHEREAS, the contractor has suggested and the design
engineer has approved a modification to the construction
techniques, resulting in a savings of $5, 662 to the owners; and,
WHEREAS, the original contract amount of $2, 390, 480 is
reduced to $2, 384,818 by Change Order No. 1 which incorporates
the modified construction techniques and the savings therefrom.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Change Order No. 1 to reduce the contract with Central
Plains Contracting Company, Inc. from $2 , 390, 480 to $2, 384, 818 is
hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to
execute the same for the City of Wichita Falls.
