Res 111-92 7/7/1992RESOLUTION NO. ///- (d-" RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT AS COMPLETE 1990-91 BUDGET UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT TO CONTRACTOR WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with Utility Contractors of America, Inc. for the 1990-91 Budget Utility Improvements Project; WHEREAS, the original contract cost of $544, 614 . 90 was increased by three authorized Change Orders to a final contract amount of $547, 300. 34 ; WHEREAS, the amount of work actually completed was 556, 131. 34, and the City previously paid the contractor 545, 008.71, leaving an amount due of $11, 122 . 63 ; WHEREAS, a repair made by the contractor to a damaged private residential sewer line failed, and the City had to engage a local plumber to repair the private sewer line at a cost of 80. 00, said cost to be withheld from the final payment of the contractor; and, WHEREAS, the staff has inspected the work and found it acceptable, and has recommended Council accept the project as complete. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: The 1990-91 Budget Utility Improvements Project is hereby accepted as complete, and the City Manager is authorized to make a final payment of $11, 042 . 63 to Utility Contractors of America, Inc.
