A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS AUTHORIZING SALE OF EXCESS CITY PROPERTY ON
MAURINE STREET; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls owns a 0. 8815 acre tract
on Maurine Street which was formerly part of the City' s Softball
Complex, but has now been cut off by the extension of Maurine
Street; and,
WHEREAS, since the City has no further use for this
property, it now desires to sell this irregular tract to the
adjacent property owner in order to relieve the burden of
maintenance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1 . As authorized by Chapter 272 of the Local
Government Code, the City of Wichita Falls shall sell the
following described excess property located in Wichita Falls,
Wichita County, Texas:
A 0.8815 acre tract, more or less, out of the Wichita
Falls Softball Complex Addition, which is a 28. 62 acre
tract of the Donata Leona Survey, Abstract 176.
This property is to be sold for the fair market value of
5,760.00 to Wichita Metal Products, Inc. , and the Mayor is
hereby authorized to execute the deed conveying the property on
behalf of the City of Wichita Falls.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined
that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to
the public as required by law.
