A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM
DEED TO THE STATE OF TEXAS FOR ANY INTEREST OWNED BY
THE CITY IN A DRAINAGE EASEMENT ACROSS A PORTION OF J.
R. COOK SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 40; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has acquired a drainage
easement across a portion of the J. R. Cook Survey, Abstract No.
40; and,
WHEREAS, such easement was acquired by the City for the
benefit of the State of Texas, and the City Council of the City
of Wichita Falls now desires to convey its interest in such
property to the State of Texas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of Wichita Falls be and is
hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Wichita
Falls a quit claim deed to the State of Texas for a drainage
easement across a portion of the J. R. Cook Survey, Abstract No.
40.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined
that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to
the public as required by law.
