RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE RETURNS OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION
HELD IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, ON MAY 2, 1992 ,
FOR MAYOR, COUNCILOR FOR DISTRICT 3, COUNCILOR FOR DISTRICT
4 AND COUNCILOR FOR DISTRICT 5
WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas, held in the Memorial Auditorium building on the
5th day of May, 1992, at which time a quorum was present, there came
on to be considered the returns of the municipal election held on the
2nd day of May, 1992; and,
WHEREAS, after canvassing the returns of said election, it was
found to be duly and legally held in all respects, and that
5,288 voters voted in said election, and that votes were cast
as follows:
FOR MAYOR:
Claude E. Greer received 1 ,432 votes.
Michael Lam received 3,780 votes.
FOR COUNCILOR, DISTRICT 3 :
Mary Brown received 398 votes.
Paul Hughes received 871 votes.
FOR COUNCILOR, DISTRICT 4 :
J. W. Martin received 1 ,081 votes.
Ron Buffum received 745 votes.
FOR COUNCILOR, DISTRICT 5 :
Don Kirkham received 279 votes.
Harold L. Hawkins received 383 votes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Said election was in all respects legally held in accordance with
the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter and the ordinances of
the City of Wichita Falls; that Michael Lam was
duly and legally elected Mayor; Paul Hughes was duly
and legally elected Councilor, District 3 ; J. W. Martin
was duly and legally elected Councilor,District 4;
Harold L. Hawkins was duly and legally elected Councilor,
District 5.
