RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE FEDERAL AVIATION
ADMINISTRATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONDUCTING A FEASIBILITY
STUDY OF KICKAPOO AIR PARK.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is requesting financial
assistance from the FAA in the form of a planning grant; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used to conduct a feasibility
study of the Kickapoo Air Park to determine the expansibility,
financial outlook, and purchase price; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of Kickapoo Air Park could be of benefit to
the City of Wichita Falls by ensuring a general aviation facility for
continued public use;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to submit a grant
application to the Federal Aviation Administration.
