RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION
AND TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS WITH THE TEXAS URBAN FORESTRY
COUNCIL FOR MATCHING TREE GRANT .
WHEREAS , the U .S . Small Business Administration ,
through the Texas Urban Forestry Council , invites appli-
cations for matching grants for trees that will benefit
small tree and landscape businesses; and ,
WHEREAS , the City desires the continued beautification
through the planting of trees; and,
WHEREAS , sufficient funds ($10 ,000 _ ) is available for
the local matching share .
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS , THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to make applica-
tion and to execute agreements with the Texas Urban Forestry
Council regarding the matching tree grant; that sufficient
funds are available for the local matching share , and that
the trees will be planted and maintained in City park .
