RESOLUTION TO APPROVE FIRST AMENDMENT TO
CONTRACT WITH ENGINEERING FIRMS OF ALAN
PLUMMER & ASSOCIATES, INC. AND CORLETT,
PROBST & BOYD, INC. FOR SECOND PHASE OF
TOXICITY REDUCTION EVALUATION AT THE RIVER
ROAD WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and the firm of Alan
Plummer & Associates, Inc. in association with the firm of
Corlett, Probst & Boyd, Inc. entered into an engineering contract
dated the June 4, 1991 for engineering services related to the
second phase (Phase B) of a Toxicity Reduction Evaluation (TRE)
at the River Road Wastewater Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, construction activities at the River Road
Wastewater Treatment Plant have required a suspension of the TRE
process and have necessitated additional engineering services to
complete the scope of the project defined by the original
contract; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined a proposed First Amendment
to the engineering services contract to incorporate the
additional tasks necessary during and after the suspension.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The stated first contract amendment is hereby approved,
bringing the maximum fee payable to the engineering consultants
to not more than $149,913 for the services provided in the
contract, as amended by this First Amendment. The City Manager
is authorized to execute the contract amendment for the City.
