RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CONTRACT WITH
DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE (SHEPPARD AIR
FORCE BASE) FOR TREATMENT OF MUNICIPAL
AIRPORT SEWAGE
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls operates a municipal
airport on land leased from the federal government at Sheppard
Air Force Base;
WHEREAS, sewage from the Municipal Airport is pumped to the
Sheppard Air Force Base sewage collection system and is treated
in the Sheppard Air Force Base Wastewater Treatment Plant, said
utility service being provided under contract between the City
and the Base;
WHEREAS, the utility rates for the services have been
recalculated and Sheppard Air Force Base desires to enter a new
contract for the purposes stated; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to approve the proposed
contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The said proposed contract for sewage service to the
Municipal Airport is hereby approved and the City Manager is
authorized to execute the same for the City of Wichita Falls.
