RESOLUTION TO APPROVE WATER PURCHASE CONTRACT
WITH THE STATE OF TEXAS (TEXAS PARKS AND
WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT, LAKE ARROWHEAD STATE
PARK)
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a contract with
the State of Texas on May 2, 1972 to provide raw water to the
Lake Arrowhead State Park and the parties to the contract have
subsequently agreed to six modifications to the contract;
WHEREAS, the contract is scheduled to expire in May, 1992 ;
WHEREAS, both parties desire to set aside the expiring 1972
Water Purchase Contract with any and all amendments, and to enter
into a new Water Purchase Contract; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has examined the proposed contract
which has been coordinated between the City staff and the staff
of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposed Water Purchase Contract between the City of
Wichita Falls and the State of Texas to continue providing raw
water to the Lake Arrowhead State Park is hereby approved and the
City Manager is authorized to execute the same for the City of
Wichita Falls.
