RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ALLEY ENCROACHMENT FOR
INSTALLATION OF SEWAGE GRINDING SYSTEM BY
WICHITA COUNTY
WHEREAS, the City and Wichita County have been coordinating
for installation of a County-owned sewage grinding system to
serve County facilities at the Wichita County Court House and the
youth detention facility;
WHEREAS, the sewage grinding system will be installed in an
alley between Lamar and Travis Streets and Fifth and Sixth
Streets, and an encroachment agreement has been coordinated
between the staffs of the City and County to allow County use of
City-owned right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to transfer to County ownership
the 8" PVC line and manhole that brings raw sewage from the
County facilities to the grinding unit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Council has examined and does hereby approve an
encroachment agreement for the purposes stated. The City Manager
is authorized to execute the encroachment for the City of Wichita
Falls.
