AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING PORTIONS
OF THE OLD SEYMOUR ROAD AND MCNIEL AVENUE, WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Wichita Falls
has recommended that portions of Old Seymour Road and McNiel Avenue be closed; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems it
advisable and in the public interest to close, vacate, and abandon the portions
of Old Seymour Road and McNiel Avenue hereafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Portions of Old Seymour Road and McNiel Avenue more
specifically being described as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1" iron rod being the most westerly southwest corner
of the proposed Payless Cashways Addition, Blk 1, Lot 1, and also
being known as the Old Seymour Highway Drive-In Theater, a 9.20
acre tract, said 2" iron rod being the northwest corner and place
of beginning of this description;
THENCE south 31° 22" E 147.30 feet to a 2" iron rod for corner;
THENCE south 89° 23' E 506.40 feet to a Z" iron rod for the northeast
corner of this tract;
THENCE south 00° 37' W 20.00 feet to a LI" iron rod lying in a curve
in the north right-of-way line of Seymour Road (formerly State
Highway No. 30), said 1" iron rod being the most easterly southeast
corner of this tract;
THENCE along said north right-of-way line of Seymour Road, and along
a 5.891 degree curve to the left, having a radius of 972.51 feet,
and a central angle of 19 39' 21", a total arc distance of 333.63
feet to a l" iron rod being the most southerly southeast corner of
this tract;
THENCE north 89° 23' west 184.19 feet to a point being the southwest
corner of this tract;
THENCE north 18° 30' 45" west 238.09 feet to the place of beginning •
and containing 0.88 acre of land, more or less;
are hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned.

SECTION 2. This closure shall become effective upon the filing of
a final plat of Payless Cashways Addition, Lot 1, Block 1, with the Wichita
County Clerk.
