AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND. ABANDONING A PORTION OF
A UTILITY EASEMENT IN MEADS SUBDIVISION, LOT 1, BLOCK 1,
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended the closure
of a 20' x 155' portion of a utility easement retained by Ordinance No. 11-85
in Meads Subdivision, Lot 1, Block 1; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems it
advisable and in the public interest to close the portion of the utility easement
hereafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:

The portion of a utility easement retained by Ordinance No. 11-85, more
specifically described as follows:
A tract of land lying within the right-of-way of East Fort Worth Street as
originally dedicated, said tract being further identified as being located
within a 3.90 acre tract of land out of Block 5 of the J.A. Kemp
Resubdivision and Block 13 of the Kemp and Newby Subdivision, said 3.90 acre
tract being presently platted as Lot 1, Block 1, Meads Subdivision, an
addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Beginning at the intersection of the west right-of-way line of the Old
Windthorst Road and the south line of the above mentioned East Fort Worth
Street, said point of intersection being the southeast corner of the herein
described tract and the place of beginning of this description;
Thence South 88° 54' West along the south line of East Fort Worth Street as
originally platted, a distance of 155 feet; thence North 01° 54' West a
distance of 20.0 feet; thence North 88° 54' East a distance of 155.14 feet
to a point in the west line of Old Windthorst Road; thence South 00° 41'
East a distance of 20.0 feet to the place of beginning;
is hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned.
