AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A PORTION
OF A UTILITY EASEMENT IN LOT 11, BLOCK 1, SIKES ESTATES,
UNIT 1, SECTION G, WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, has recommended that the 15' wide utility easement at the rear property
line of Lot 11, Block 1, Sikes Estates, Unit 1, Section G, Wichita Falls, Texas
be reduced to 5' ; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls deems it
advisable and in the public interest to reduce said easement by closing a portion
of the easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The 15' wide utility easement at the rear property line of Lot 11,
Block 1, Sikes Estates, Unit 1, Section G, Wichita Falls, Texas is hereby reduced
to 5' , by closing a portion of said easement more specifically described as
follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the easterly boundary of a 5' wide north-
westerly-southeasterly utility easement lying on the southwesterly
boundary of Lot 11, Block 1, Sikes Estates, Unit 1, Section G,
Wichita Falls, Texas; said point being five (5') southeast of the
rear lot line of said lot;
THENCE in a northeasterly manner parallel to the rear lot line
approximately 74.78' to the northeasterly property line of said
lot;
THENCE, in a southeasterly direction approximately ten (10) feet along
the northeasterly lot line of said lot;
THENCE in a southwesterly direction, parallel to the rear lot line
approximately 74.78' to the easterly boundary of 5' wide utility
easement;
THENCE ten (10) feet in a northwesterly direction to the place of
beginning;
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned.
