ORDINANCE NO. 14-86
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC
MIXED BEVERAGES FOR ON-PREMISE CONSUMPTION
WHEREAS, Precinct 1 of Wichita County has voted to authorize the
sale of alcoholic mixed beverages in a licensed premise; and,
WHEREAS, Section 5400 of the Wichita Falls Zoning Ordinance limits
on-premise alcoholic beverage sales to beer and wine, and does not address the
sale of alcoholic mixed beverages.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The sales of alcoholic mixed beverages are hereby
authorized in the zoning districts where on-premise alcoholic beverage sales
are presently permitted.
SECTION 2. The City staff is hereby directed to proceed with initiating
a zoning ordinance amendment to comply with the change.
SECTION 3. Since the sale of alcoholic mixed beverages is already
permitted in Precinct 1, Wichita County, there exists an emergency, and this
ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
