AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONIO G A PORTION
OF A TWENTY (20) FOOT WIDE, EAST-WEST UTILITY EASEMENT
LYING ON THE COMMON LOT LINE OF LOTS 2A & 7, BLOCK 18,
MIDWESTERN PARK SUBDIVISION, WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended the closure of
a portion of a twenty (20) foot wide utility easement lying on the common lot
line of Lots 2A & 7, Block 18, Midwestern Park Subdivision, Wichita Falls, Texas;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, deems it
advisable and in the public interest to close said portion of the easement
hereafter discribed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
A 20 (twenty) foot easement lying 10 feet on either side of a centerline being
the north lot line of Lot 2A, Block 18, and the south line of Lot 7, Block 18,
Midwestern Park, an addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas,
said centerline being more specifically described by metes and bounds as follows;
BEGINNING at a point being the northeast corner of said Lot 2A, Block 18,
and the southeast corner of said Lot 7, Block 18, said point also lies in
the west right-of-way line of Maplewood Avenue;
THENCE along said north line of said Lot 2A, and the south line of Lot 7,
North 89° 33' West 626.47 feet more or less to a point on the east boundary
of a five (5) foot wide, north-south utility easement lying east of the west
lot line of said Lot 7, Block 18, Midwestern Park;
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned.
