A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM
DEED WITH THE WICHITA FALLS INDEPENDENT SCHOOL
DISTRICT; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City has received a request from the Wichita
Falls Independent School District to convey by quit claim deed
any interest owned by the City in that certain property described
as a public square according to the Original Townsite plat of the
City of Wichita Falls, filed in Book E, Page 264 of the Wichita
County deed records; and,
WHEREAS, said conveyance shall serve the best interests of
the citizens of the City of Wichita Falls.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. In consideration of the receipt of One ($1. 00)
Dollar and other good and valuable consideration, the Mayor be
and is hereby authorized to execute a quit claim deed to the
Wichita Falls Independent School District, conveying that certain
parcel of property described as a public square in the Original
Townsite plat, filed in Book E, Page 264 of the Wichita County
deed records, and as further described by the attached quit claim
deed, the same made a part hereof for all purposes.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined
that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to
the public as required by law.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF WICHITA ) (
THAT the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, a municipal
corporation, hereinafter called Grantor, acting by and through
its duly authorized Mayor, for and in consideration of the sum of
One ($1. 00) Dollar and other good and valuable consideration, in
hand paid by the Wichita Falls Independent School District,
hereinafter called Grantee, the receipt of which is herein
acknowledged, has granted, sold, conveyed, released, and forever
quit claims unto the said Grantee, all its right, title, and
interest in and to the following described real property situated
in Wichita County, Texas, to-wit:
That certain property designated as PUBLIC SQUARE
located on the North Side of the Wichita River, as the
same is shown upon the original town plat of the town
of Wichita Falls, Texas, said square being that
property lying between Kentucky Avenue and Missouri
Avenue, and bounded on the Northwest by Blocks No. 35
and 36, and on the Southeast by Blocks No. 61 and 62 ,
as shown by said plat filed in Book E, Page 264 of the
Wichita County deed records.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, together
with all and singular the appurtenances thereto, in any way
belonging unto the said Grantee, its successors and assigns.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, a
municipal corporation of Wichita County, Texas, has caused this
instrument to be executed by its Mayor this the day of
September, 1993 .
