A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS APPROVING AN UPDATE OF THE INDUSTRIAL
PRETREATMENT PROGRAM AND CONFIRMING CONTINUAL FUNDING;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the United States Environmental Protection Agency,
through its enforcement of the Clean Water Act, requires the City
to maintain an Industrial Pretreatment Program; and,
WHEREAS, that program must be revised and modified from time
to time to meet the requirements of said agency; and,
WHEREAS, an updated program, including a new pretreatment
ordinance, is being prepared and will be presented to and
discussed by the citizens of this community and this Council;
and,
WHEREAS, the Environmental Protection Agency requires that
the City express its financial commitment to support the
Industrial Pretreatment Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Industrial Pretreatment Program of the
City of Wichita Falls, and amendments and revisions thereto to
meet the requirements of the United States Environmental
Protection Agency, hereby receives the financial commitment of
this body to support the implementation and enforcement of said
Program.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined
that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to
the public as required by law.
