ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $101,982 FROM THE
WATER AND SEWER FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PURCHASING A LIQUID SLUDGE APPLICATOR
WHEREAS, it is essential to keep the City's sewage plant within the
guidelines established by the EPA; and,
WHEREAS, the sludge applicator in use by the City is no longer
capable of maintaining the sewage plant within these guidelines; and,
WHEREAS, the immediate purchase of a sludge applicator is in the
best interest of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $101,982 out of
the Water and Sewer Fund to be placed in Account Number 81-707-4643 .
SECTION 2 . These expenditures represent a growing public
necessity, and it is an emergency expenditure to meet unusual and
unforeseen conditions which could not by reasonable, diligent thought
and attention have been included in the original budget. The fact that
this amount will be due and that it is essential for the immediate use
of the City of Wichita Falls creates an emergency, therefore, this
ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
