RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ENGINEERING CONTRACT
WITH CORLETT, PROBST AND BOYD, INC. FOR
ENGINEERING SERVICES RELATED TO RELOCATION OF
WATER AND SEWER LINES FOR MCGRATH CREEK
PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and the U.S . Army Corps
of Engineers are in an agreement for the construction of channel
improvements and spillway on McGrath Creek;
WHEREAS, certain water and sewer line relocations must be
accomplished to facilitate the project on the McGrath Creek;
WHEREAS, the costs for engineering design of the water and
sewer line relocations and the construction of the relocations
are the responsibility of the City of Wichita Falls;
WHEREAS, the City intends to integrate the construction of
the water and sewer line relocations with the construction of the
McGrath Creek Improvements;
WHEREAS, the City must submit plans and specifications for
the relocations for integration into the Corps contract
documents;
WHEREAS, the City desires to engage the engineering firm of
Corlett, Probst and Boyd, Inc . for the engineering services
related to the relocations; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined a proposed contract
between the City and Corlett, Probst and Boyd, Inc . for the
stated purposes .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The contract between the City and Corlett, Probst and Boyd,
Inc . for engineering services related to the relocation of water
and sewer lines to facilitate the McGrath Creek Channel
Improvements and Spillway Project is hereby approved with a
maximum of $80, 000 for the base fee, and the City Manager is
authorized to execute the contract for the ' y of Wichita Falls .
