A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS ACCEPTING BID FOR TRADE OF EXCESS PROPERTY AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE DEED ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City's property located at 721 and 727 Indiana
Avenue and 618 Eighth Street has been designated as excess, and
the City desires to trade these vacant lots with land that can be
used in conjunction with Park Central.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The following parcels of real property located
in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, have been identified as
excess and have been advertised for trade to the public for
property which could be used in conjunction with Park Central:
The West 75 ft. x 50 ft. of Lot 8 and the
Southwest 75 ft. x 10 ft. of Lot 9, Block
163, Original Townsite, a/k/a 727 Indiana
Avenue.
The East 50 ft x 100 ft. of Lots 8 and 9 and
a 25 ft. x 40 ft. strip out of Lot 9, Block
163, Original Townsite, a/k/a 618 Eighth
Street.
The Northwest 75 ft. x 40 ft. of Lot 9, Block
163, Original Townsite, a/k/a 721 Indiana
Avenue.
SECTION 2 . The following bid was received on November 29,
1993, for exchange of the above-described property.
Bidder: Mr. Steve Muehlberger, President
Wichita Tower, Inc.
Property Offered For Exchange:
Lot 11, Block 175, Original Townsite, a/k/a
815 Scott Avenue, Wichita Falls, Texas.
Lot 12, Block 175, Original Townsite, a/k/a
811 Scott Avenue, Wichita Falls, Texas.
SECTION 3 . The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a
warranty deed on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls to Wichita
Tower, Inc.
SECTION 4 . It is hereby officially found and determined
that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to
the public as required by law.
