RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF
FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET
CONTINGENCY ACCOUNT TO AN OPERATING
ACCOUNT FOR THE CITY'S PORTION OF A
FEASIBILITY STUDY ON CONSTRUCTING A
TURNPIKE FROM WICHITA FALLS TO ABILENE
WHEREAS, the Texas Turnpike Authority is conducting a study
on the feasibility of constructing a turnpike from Wichita Falls
to Abilene, and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls will be favorably
impacted by the construction of such a turnpike, and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has agreed to participate
with the communities that would be favorably impacted by such a
turnpike in sharing the cost of the study.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The transfer of $7, 666. 66 from the City's Budget Contingency
Account to an appropriate operating account is hereby approved in
order to pay for the City's share in the cost of a study on the
feasibility of constructing a turnpike from Wichita Falls to
Abilene.
