Res 188-93 12/7/19930 RESOLUTION NO. lx -9 , A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS EXTENDING THE TIME WITHIN WHICH THE CITY MUST DETERMINE THE REASONABLENESS OF THE INITIAL BASIC CABLE SERVICE RATES FROM 30 TO 90 DAYS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH ORDINANCE 129-93; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, on November 12, 1993, Vista Cablevision filed with the City of Wichita Falls FCC Form 393, seeking cable rate approval of the basic cable and service rates; and, WHEREAS, in order to provide sufficient time to review these rates to determine the reasonableness thereof, it is deemed necessary to extend the time in which the rates must be approved or denied for a period of 90 days from and after the date of filing. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the time in which the City Council must determine whether or not the rates of Vista Cablevision are within the FCC's reasonable rate standard based upon the material contained within FCC Form 393, is hereby extended for a period of 90 days from and after November 12, 1993 . SECTION 2 . That on or before February 9, 1994, the City Council will hold a public hearing and make a final determination on the reasonableness of the rates filed with the City on November 12 , 1993, by Vista Cablevision. SECTION 3 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
