RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION 159-90 TO
INCORPORATE CHARGES FOR DISPOSAL OF PRIVATE
GRIT AND GREASE TRAP WASTES AT THE WASTEWATER
TREATMENT PLANT
WHEREAS, the City Council on September 18, 199 approved
Resolution 159-90 to establish charges for utili y labor,
equipment, materials and services;
WHEREAS, Council amended the resolution on Novembe 19, 1991
and April 6, 1991 to incorporate laboratory charges f r certain
wastewater tests;
WHEREAS, Sub-title D has created a requiremen for the
wastewater treatment plant to accept grease and grit t ap wastes
for de-watering and solids disposal;
WHEREAS, this temporary service will be provided to assist
local business owners until such time as a Type V d -watering
facility is available to process the grit/grease tr p wastes;
and,
WHEREAS, the processing of this special wast creates
additional and unusual expense for the City such that a charge
must be established for the service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City will provide de-water and disposal service for
local business owners with grease trap and grit trap aste on a
temporary basis as long as the service does not advers: ly affect
the operation of the wastewater treatment plant . T - service
will be provided at cost of $0 . 20 per gallon for all such
material until the Type V processing facility is eady for
operation in the private sector. At that time, the Ci.y will no
longer pro vide t his temporary service. For partial or lull loads
from outside the city limits, the charge will be .0 .40 per
gallon.
