A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS AUTHORIZING SALE OF EXCESS RIGHT-OF-WAY ON
SHEPPARD ACCESS ROAD; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, on February 15, 1961, a portion of Sheppard Access
Road from a point south of the M.K.T. Railroad south to the Iowa
Park Road was dropped from the State Highway System and
transferred to the City of Wichita Falls; and,
WHEREAS, the property owners on the west side of the 2200
block of Sheppard Access Road desire to acquire this excess strip
of right-of-way in order to improve the appearance of their
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. As authorized by Chapter 272 of the Texas Local
Government Code, the City of Wichita Falls shall sell the
following described excess property located in Wichita falls,
Wichita County, Texas:
Tract A A 0.23 acre tract out of the Alexander Dunlavy
Survey, Abstract No. 60, being adjacent to 2320 and 2314 Sheppard
Access Road.
Tract B A 0.29 acre tract out of the Alexander Dunlavy
Survey, Abstract No. 60, being adjacent to 2304 Sheppard Access
Road.
Tract C A 0. 09 acre tract out of the Alexander Dunlavy
Survey, Abstract No. 60, being adjacent to 2222 Sheppard Access
Road.
Tract D A 0. 11 acre tract out of the Alexander Dunlavy
Survey, Abstract No. 60, being adjacent to 2216 Sheppard Access
Road.
Tract E A 0.55 acre tract out of the Alexander Dunlavy
Survey, Abstract No. 60, being adjacent to 2206 and 2106 Sheppard
Access Road.
SECTION 2. The above-described property is to be conveyed
in fee title, reserving a drainage and utility easement for the
fair market value as follows:

Tract B 0. K. Concrete, Inc. 1, 011. 00
Tract C Wichita Vector Engineering Testing Corp. 314 . 00
Tract D Allen Palmatary 383 . 00
Tract E Rocking H B, Inc. 1, 917. 00
SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
special warranty deeds on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls to
the above-named property owners.
SECTION 4. It is hereby officially found and determined
that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to
the public as required by law.
