RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE D.A.R.E. PROJECT GRANT
AWARD FROM THE TEXAS COMMISSION ON ALCOHOL
AND DRUG ABUSE
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has made
application to the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug
Abuse for fourth year funding of the D.A.R.E. program, and
WHEREAS, approval for this fourth year of operation
has been given by the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug
Abuse in the amount of $42, 980. 00, and
WHEREAS, the D.A.R.E. program has proven to be a
successful tool in the education of the youth in the
community against the illegal use of drugs,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNDIL OF THE
CITY OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager, Directory of Finance, and Mayor are hereby
authorized to sign the Grantee Acceptance Notice from the
Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse and to accept the
grant aware in the amount of $42 ,980. 00.
