RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
AGREEMENTS WITH THE TEXAS FOREST SERVICE
WHEREAS , trees are a desirable feature of urban life;
and,
WHEREAS , it is necessary to properly plan for the most
productive method of tree design , planting , and care; and
WHEREAS , the Texas Forest Service has announced a
matching grant program to aid local governments with urban
tree program development .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS , THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
agreements with the Texas Forest Service; that the City has
its share of the cost of the project , and that trees are
permitted to be planted on City property .
