A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS DETERMINING NECESSITY FOR ACQUISITION AND
AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PROPERTY IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE PARK CENTRAL PROJECT; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City of Wichita
Falls should acquire the property at the corner of Eighth and
Scott Streets in conjunction with the Park Central Project; and,
WHEREAS, the appraisals have now been completed on this
property, and such appraisals have been reviewed by the Property
Administrator and are now on file in the Property Management
Office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Wichita Falls desires to
acquire the hereinafter described property located in Wichita
Falls, Wichita County, Texas, for the development of Park
Central.
SECTION 2. The legal descriptions of the parcels to be
acquired in fee title are as follows:
Parcel #1 The West 75 ft. x 50 ft. of Lot 8 and
the Southwest 75 ft. x 10 ft. of Lot 9,
Block 163, Original Townsite, a/k/a 727
Indiana, Wichita Falls.
Parcel #2 The East 50 ft. x 100 ft. of Lots 8 and
9 and a 25 ft. x 40 ft. strip out of
Lot 9, Block 163, Original Townsite,
a/k/a 618 Eighth Street, Wichita Falls.
Parcel #3 The Northwest 75 ft. x 40 ft. of Lot 9,
Block 163, Original Townsite, a/k/a 721
Indiana, Wichita Falls.

SECTION 3 . The amount of just compensation for the above-
described parcels is to be set as follows:
Parcel #1 $15,800. 00 Parcel #3 $10,500. 00
Parcel #2 $22,500.00
These amounts are also the fair market value determined by
Henderson Appraisal and Consultants, who were employed by the
City to appraise the tracts.
SECTION 4. In the event the Property Administrator is
unable to purchase the parcels for the appraised value, the City
Manager is authorized to increase the offer when, in his
judgment, it appears to be in the best interest of the City.
SECTION 5. It is hereby officially found and determined
that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to
the public as required by law.
