RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WICHITA FALLS POLICE DEPARTMENT
TO PURCHASE SOME SPECIALIZED POLICE EQUIPMENT
FROM SEIZED CONFISCATED FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Police Department has
accumulated approximately $28,221 in confiscated seized
money from individuals arrested for narcotics violations,
and
WHEREAS, the state statues of the State of Texas
require that the expenditure of this money be approved by
the governing body for the law enforcement agency, and
WHEREAS, the police department has determined a need
for the purchase of some specialized police equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Wichita Falls Police Department is authorized to
purchase the following specialized items from the
confiscated seized funds account: Local Area Network (LAN)
Computer System with necessary software systems and
upgrades; OmniPrint Alternate Light (Laser) Source; Steady
Cam Video Unit, Video Light and Battery Pack for the light;
Voice Guard Radios for the Organized Crime Unit; and, a
Specialized Optical Surveillance System.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 15th day of June 1993.
