Ord 038-86 5/20/1986 ORDINANCE NO. 1W ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION 22-1 (a) (9) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ALLOW THE POSTING OF ADVERTISING DEVICES AT THE WEEKS AND HAMILTON TENNIS CENTERS FOR THE SOUTHWEST TENNIS TOURNAMENT ON JUNE 4 THROUGH JUNE 7, 1986 , AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Southwest Tennis Tournament, which is co-sponsored this year by the City of Wichita Falls and Coca Cola Bottling Company, will be held at Weeks and Hamilton Tennis Centers June 4 through June 7 , 1986 ; and, WHEREAS , Coca Cola Bottling Company has requested that the City Council waive Section 22-1 (a) (9) to allow the posting of advertising devices at both tennis centers from June 4 through June 7 for this tournament; and, WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the circumstances involved concerning this request are exceptional, and that such request should be granted . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS , THAT: Section 22-1 (a) (9) of the Code of Ordinances is hereby waived to allow the posting of advertising devices in the Weeks and Hamilton Tennis Centers June 4 through June 7 , 1986 for the Southwest Tennis Tournament. It is further found that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and it shall become effective upon its adoption. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 20th day of May, 1986 .
