RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A GRANT WITH
THE STATE OF TEXAS, THEREBY ENABLING THE
WICHITA FALLS POLICE DEPARTMENT TO
PARTICIPATE IN "OCCUPANT PROTECTION"
SELECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM (S.T.E.P. )
WHEREAS, the State of Texas, acting by and through the
State Department of Highways and Public Transportation has
requested that the Wichita Falls Police Department
participate in "Occupant Protection" Selective Traffic
Enforcement Program (S.T.E.P. ) during months of May 1, 1993
through September 30, 1993 ; and
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Police Department and the
City of Wichita Falls has agreed to participate in said
program;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to negotiate and enter
into said contract with the State of Texas for "Occupant
Protection" Selective Traffic Enforcement Program
