RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO
PARTICIPATE WITH THE WICHITA FALLS
INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT IN A
JOINT ALTERNATIVE FUELS STUDY
WHEREAS, Southwest Research Institute has been hired b y the
Wichita Falls Independent School District to conduct an
independent cost/benefit analysis of alternative fuel uses for
their bus system; and
WHEREAS, the City has been invited to participate in the
study to determine potential benefits of a joint City/WFISD
approach to alternative fuel uses; and
WHEREAS, the cost to the City for this study is $1, 000; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to participate with the
WFISD in this joint cost/benefit analysis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to expend $1, 000 in
the participation of a joint City/WFISD cost/benefit analysis of
alternative fuel uses.
