RESOLUTION GRANTING THE RAILROAD MUSEUM PERMISSION
TO MOVE THE STEAM ENGINE FROM ROTARY PARK TO THE
RAILROAD MUSEUM SITE .
WHEREAS , the development of a railroad museum is a
desirable amenity for our community; and ,
WHEREAS , a steam engine is now located in Rotary Park;
and,
WHEREAS , the Railroad Museum organization has asked
permission to move the engine to the museum site downtown;
and,
WHEREAS , the Railroad Museum will seek to raise
sufficient funds to move the engine .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS , THAT:
The Railroad Museum is hereby given permission to move
the steam engine from Rotary Park to the railroad museum
downtown located on City owned land leased to the Wichita
County Heritage Society .
