RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CONTRACT WITH
ENGINEERING FIRM FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
RELATING TO IMPROVEMENTS AT THE NORTHSIDE
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
WHEREAS, the Environmental Protection Agency and Texas Water
Commission have imposed more stringent effluent limitations on
the Northside Wastewater Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, a Preliminary Engineering Report has identified the
facilities that must be constructed at the plant to comply with
the new limitations;
WHEREAS, the Council desires to engage the engineering firm
of Biggs and Mathews, Inc. to provide the engineering services
necessary for the construction of the required facilities; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has considered a contract for this
purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The contract to engage the engineering firm of Biggs and
Mathews, Inc. for engineering services related to the Northside
Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Project is hereby
approved, with a maximum engineering fee for the base engineering
services of $17,450. The City Manager is authorized to execute
the contract for the City.
