RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID TO B. W. STRAYHORN
COMPANY FOR EXCAVATION WORK ON LAKE ARROWHEAD
RAW WATER PIPELINE
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids
for an hourly rate on an excavation equipment of a specified size
and type;
WHEREAS, the equipment will be used for excavations on the
raw water pipeline between Lake Arrowhead and the Secondary
Reservoir; and,
WHEREAS, the estimated number of hours for use of the
equipment is 336 hours;
WHEREAS, it is recognized by the Council that the actual
hours of use may be somewhat more or somewhat less than the
estimated hours.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City staff is authorized to use up to $35, 000 for the
excavations, and the bid for the excavation equipment is hereby
awarded to B. W. Strayhorn Company at the hourly rate of $90. 00.
City staff is directed to accomplish the excavations
expeditiously, using the minimum amount of excavation time
possible.
