RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH
THE JERUSALEM COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION FOR HOME PROGRAM FUNDS
WHEREAS, The City has received approval of a $750, 000 HOME
Program grant from the Department of Housing and Urban
Development; and
WHEREAS, program regulations require 15 percent of the funds
to be expended through a private non-profit housing development
organization; and
WHEREAS, The Jerusalem Community Development Corporation
meets the requirements of the program, has experience in
affordable housing programs and has expressed an interest in
contracting with the City for HOME funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a
contract with the Jerusalem Community Development Corporation in
the amount of $112,500 of HOME funds for the delivery of
affordable housing programs.
