Ord 041-86 5/20/1986 ORDINANCE NO. ORDINANCE REQUIRING ALL VEHICLES IN EXCESS OF 4, 000 POUNDS GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT CARRYING ROCK, FIRE RESIDUE AND DEMOLITION DISPOSAL OR CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS TO UTILIZE THE WICHITA FALLS SANITARY LANDFILL WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council to require all vehicles with capacity in excess of 4, 000 pounds gross vehicle weight, carrying rock, fire residue, demolition disposal and/or construction debris, to utilize the Wichita Falls Sanitary Landfill for disposal; WHEREAS, it is the intent of this ordinance to allow small pickups and trailers carrying such debris to utilize the Transfer Station if the material is hauled by an individual residing at the address from which the material originated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1. Sub-section (d) be added to Section 17-14 of the Wichita Falls Municipal Code as follows: (d) Material described in sub-section (a) above, hauled in a truck or trailer having a gross vehicle weight of 4, 000 pounds or higher, be disposed of at the Wichita Falls Sanitary Landfill only.
