ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $90,000 FROM THE SANITATION
FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING A 32 CUBIC YARD
FRONT END LOADING SANITATION TRUCK AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, Unit number 1108 was fire damaged beyond economical repair; and
WHEREAS, the Sanitation Department does not have enough front end loading
trucks to operate its scheduled routes; and,
WHEREAS, the immediate purchase of a front end loading truck is in the best
interest of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, that:
Section 1 . There is hereby appropriated the sum of $90,000 out of the
Sanitation Fund to be placed in account 51-375-4643.
Section 2. A growing public necessity exists , and this is an emergency
expenditure to meet unusual and unforeseen conditions which could not, by
reasonable, diligent thought and attention, have been included in the original
budget. The fact that this amount will be due and that it is essential for the
immediate use of the City of Wichita Falls creates an emergency, therefore, this
ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
