AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A TWELVE
(12) FOOT WIDE, NORTH-SOUTH UTILITY EASEMENT IN LOT 1,
BLOCK 1, BRODIE BUICK SUBDIVISION AND LOTS 1-4, BLOCK
1, CANNON PARK ADDITION, WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended
the closure of a twelve ( 12) foot wide, north-south, utility
easement in Lot 1, Blk 1, Brodie Buick Subdivision and Lots 1-4,
Blk 1, Cannon Park Addition, Wichita Falls, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas deems it advisable, and in the public interest to close
the easement hereafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. A twelve ( 12) foot utility easement located in
Block 1, Lot 1, Brodie Buick Subdivision, and Block 1, Lots 1-4,
Cannon Park Addition, both being additions to the City of
Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, said easement being more
specifically described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point lying in the south right-of-way line
of Underwood Street, said point bears East 130.00 feet from the
point of intersection of said south right-of-way line of Under-
wood Street and the east right-of-way line of Old Jacksboro
Highway, said point being the northwest corner and place of
beginning of this description;
THENCE along said south right-of-way line of Underwood
Street, East 12.00 feet to a point being the northeast corner of
this tract;
THENCE leaving said south right-of-way line, South 500.00
feet to a point lying in the north right-of-way line of West
Terral Street, said point being the southeast corner of this
tract;
THENCE along said north right-of-way line of West Terral
Street, W 12. 00 feet to a point being the southwest corner of
this tract;
THENCE leaving said north right-of-way line of West Terral
Street, N 500.00 feet to the place of beginning and containing
0 .14 acres of land, more or less;
save and except the portion of the said easement which inter-
sects with the fifteen ( 15) foot wide southwest to northeast
utility easement, be and the same is hereby closed, vacated, and
abandoned.

SECTION 2. The sewer line located within the easement
closed in Section 1 is also abandoned as a public sewer line and
reverts to private ownership.
SECTION 3. This ordinances shall become effective upon the
filing of a plat of Lot 1-A, Block 1, Brodie Buick Addition,
with the Wichita County Clerk, within one year of the passage of
this ordinance.
