ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION 22-1, SUBSECTION (a) (9) OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES PROHIBITING SIGNS AND OTHER
ADVERTISING DEVICES IN PUBLIC PARKS, FOR THE WICHITA
FALLS COLLEGIATE CLASSIC TENNIS TOURNAMENT.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Tennis Association has requested permission
to display commercial advertising signs at Hamilton Park Tennis Center during
the Wichita Falls Collegiate Classic Tennis Tournament; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the circumstances involved in
this request are exceptional, and that the ordinance prohibiting such practice
should be waived for this event.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 22-1, Subsection (a) (9) of the Code of Ordinances is hereby
waived to allow the display of commercial advertising signs at Hamilton Park
Tennis Center during the Wichita Falls Collegiate Classic Tennis Tournament
to be held September 26-28, 1986.
