AN ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION
TO ACCOUNT NUMBER 26-052-4640 FROM
THE HOTEL/MOTEL FUND AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls established the Log
Cabin Project in Lucy Park as the City's project for the Texas Sesquicentennial ;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that such project is an appropriate
expenditure of revenues from the Hotel/Motel Fund; and
WHEREAS, during the construction of the cabin it was unclear as to the final
level of funding required for this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1 . There is hereby appropriated from the Hotel/Motel Fund the amount
of $10,000 to be placed in Account Number 26-052-4640.
Section 2. A growing public necessity exists , and this is an emergency
expenditure to meet unusual and unforeseen conditions which could not, by
reasonable, dilligent thought and attention, have been included in the original
budget. The fact that this amount will be due and that it is essential for the
immediate use of the City of Wichita Falls creates an emergency;
THEREFORE, this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage.
