ORDINANCE NO. 77-86
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6130A OF THE ZONING
ORDINANCE TO REQUIRE A FIVE ( 5) FEET MINIMUM INTERIOR
SIDE AND REAR SETBACK, WHEN NOT ABUTTING AN ALLEY, FOR
THE EXPANSION, ALTERATION, AND EXTENSION OF A NONCON-
FORMING RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended
the amendment of Section 6130A of the Zoning Ordinance to
require a five ( 5) feet minimum interior side and rear
setback, when not abutting an alley, for the expansion,
alteration, and extension of a nonconforming residential
structure; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, deems that the proposed zoning amendment is in
accordance with the City' s Comprehensive Land Use Plan, and
advisable in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 6130A of the Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended
to add the following to the end of the paragraph:
"However, the development regulations of this ordinance
shall be met for the expansion, alteration or extension of a
nonconforming residential structure along the interior side,
and rear setback when not abutting an alley. "
