RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A FIVE YEAR AGREEMENT WITH
1 TRANS-LUX CORPORATION FOR MAINTENANCE OF THE
ELECTRONIC MESSAGE CENTER AT THE ACTIVITIES
CENTER AND THE ELECTRONIC MESSAGE CENTER AND
SCOREBOARD SYSTEM AT THE SOFTBALL COMPLEX
WHEREAS, in 1988, the City was able to obtain an electronic
message center system at the Activities Center and an electronic
message center system and four scoreboards at the Softball Complex
at no cost to the City by securing sponsors to purchase the systems
in exchange for advertising rights; and
WHEREAS, in May of 1989, the City entered into a five year
agreement for maintenance of the systems; and
WHEREAS, this agreement is now expired; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to enter into a new
maintenance agreement for an additional five year period;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a five year
maintenance agreement with Trans-Lux Corporation for the electronic
message center system at the Activities Center and the electronic
message center and scoreboards system at the Softball Complex.
