A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A QUIT
CLAIM DEED TO JACK AND CATHIE MONROE FOR ANY INTEREST
OWNED BY THE CITY IN A CANAL LATERAL ACROSS A PORTION
OF BLOCK 8, VISTA HEIGHTS ADDITION; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS DISCUSSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY
LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is the owner of a canal
lateral across Block 8, Vista Heights Addition to the City of
Wichita Falls; and,
WHEREAS, such easement was acquired by the City as a part of
its acquisition of the Wichita County Water Improvement District
No. 1; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls now
desires to convey its interest in such property to Jack and
Cathie Monroe.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City; of Wichita Falls be and is
hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Wichita
Falls a quit claim deed to Jack and Cathie Monroe for a canal
lateral across Block 8, Vista Heights Addition.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined
that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to
the public as required by law.
