A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE AMENDMENT
OF A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
AND THE REALLOCATION OF HOME FUNDS TO JERUSALEM
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls previously entered into a
contract with Jerusalem Community Development Corporation (a non-
profit Community Development Housing Organization-CHDO) to provide
HOME funds for low income housing related activities; and
WHEREAS, the automated accounting system of the U. S.
Department. of Housing and Urban Development cannot accept payment
requests from two different sources for a project at the same
physical address, which requires the City to transfer, to the CHDO,
that portion of the HOME funds the City would have paid for these
projects; and
WHEREAS, there is need to reallocate an additional $17, 400 in
HOME funds to the Jerusalem Community Development Corporation to
assist low income first time homebuyers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to amend the
HOME program description and re-allocate $17, 400 to the Jerusalem
Community Development Corporation.
SECTION 2 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to amend the
previously approved contract with Jerusalem Community Development
Corporation by increasing their maximum contract amount to
129, 900.
SECTION 3 . It is hereby officially found and determined that
the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to the
public as required by law.
