RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ENGINEERING CONTRACT
WITH CORLETT, PROBST & BOYD, INC. IN
ASSOCIATION WITH ALAN PLUMMER & ASSOCIATES,
INC. TO PERFORM SLUDGE DEWATERING AND
DISPOSAL STUDY
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has limited capability
for the dewatering and disposal of sludge from the River Road
Wastewater Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, it is important for the City to develop greater
depth and more flexibility in dewatering and disposal of the
sludge in order to meet current and known future regulatory
requirements;
WHEREAS, the staff has proposed that the City conduct an
engineering study to assess our options and to make
recommendations to serve as a master plan for future
improvements; and,
WHEREAS, the City has examined a proposed contract with the
engineering firm of Corlett, Probst & Boyd, Inc. in association
with the firm of Alan Plummer & Associates, Inc. for the stated
Sludge Dewatering and Disposal Study.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposed contract with Corlett, Probst & Boyd, Inc . in
association with Alan Plummer & Associates, Inc . to conduct a
wastewater Sludge Dewatering and Disposal Study is hereby
approved, and the City Manager is authorized to execute the same
for the City of Wichita Falls.
