RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 14-94 TO GUARANTEE A PORTION
OF LUCY PARK BE KEPT IN OPEN SPACE .
WHEREAS , the City has submitted a grant application to
the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for improvement to
Lucy Park; and,
WHEREAS , the Texas Parks and Wildlife has requested
specific language in the City 's resolution keeping a portion
of Lucy Park in open space as a condition of grant
acceptability .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS , THAT:
Resolution 14-94 is hereby amended to read:
The Park$°is
hereby amended to include the desire to acquire
approximately two acres known as the Murphy
property adjacent to Lucy Park for betterment
of the proposed Nature Center operation , and
such land shall be kept in open space .
