RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WICHITA FALLS POLICE DEPARTMENT
TO PURCHASE A DUAL-PURPOSE DRUG DOG
FROM SEIZED CONFISCATED FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Police Department has
accumulated sufficient funds in confiscated seized money
from individuals arrested for narcotics violations, and
WHEREAS, the state statues of the State of Texas
require that the expenditure of this money be approved by
the governing body for the law enforcement agency, and
WHEREAS, the police department has determined a need
for the purchase of a dual-purpose drug dog.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Wichita Falls Police Department is authorized to spend
up to six thousand dollars ($6, 000) for the purchase of an
upgraded dual-purpose drug dog.
